Description
This was more of a test to check this style, kinda a mural or painting on other hard surface. Trying to simulate it being actual paint and such.
Part of an idea I had for my "First Contact War" MLP universe.
Although initally a bigger scene. I thought I'd first try the style on smaller scale. So I took a slab of it. Fun making the textures, I used to do that for 3D models years ago and also just in general in paintings hehe. (With just the default round brush!)
I think it turned out all right. Might be worth looking further into this style to make the entire painting this would be part of. The great contact of Equines and Gryphons, in a glorified, fabulous manner.
Approx Time: 2-3 hours? (slightly lost track...)

Another excellent pic overall, I just wish the cracks stood out a bit more. Maybe darken/shade them more? Still, I think you said you may come back to this later, so this might be just part of the fact that the picture is "incomplete"/"not finished." On the positive side, I do like how the inks/colors/paints/pigments on the rocks are a bit faded and not all bright. It would make sense the colors would fade over time due to the aging process. I wish I could add more to this, but I really can't-like I said earlier, it's a great pic overall.
