Apple Applejack styles pt4

Description

It continues but then with shading, colour and everything. Or well... almost everything hehe.

Used 2 from my previous styles and made 2 new ones to try out. Always interesting working with Applejack colours. Though I also played around with shading a bit. Did not do these in greyscale. Rushed the bodies a bit here and there, main priority being their faces. I do tend to skip out on bodies a bit in general... bad monkey

Still not sure what I should focus on though so I'll just continue focusing on Applejack XD
I should maybe try out something similar to what I did with Taterhorse as well. So many choices... but this shading and process I was already familiar with from before heh.

Before you read what I have to say, I just want to state, for a fact, that I like this, but it most definitely has problems.

I can see the effort that went into this, with the shading and well done detail, but she doesn't look anything like a pony to me. The first one looks like a wood elf. With the floppy ears that stick straight out to the sides. The second one looks like a high elf, with the ears pointed straight up. In no way do the first two look anthro to me. If I had no dealing with the show, none what so ever, I would see elves out of the first two images.

The last two are the ones I have the most thoughts about.
Three looks like a mouse. Just a straight up mouse. The big floppy ears is what make sit look most like a mouse. Her hips are much to wide for her legs, and that bend in her back does not look healthy. Looks like she would be permanently leaning backwards. Her neck looks ready to about snap, but I can look past that seeing as it is a cartoon character. Add in the rest of my previously stated anatomical problems though, and she just looks weird.

On the fourth one, you forgot the cutie mark. Also seeing as you went the most pony here, there should be in no way why she would be standing on her hind legs. If she had hands, I could see it. You also forgot the ribbon in her tail on this on as well. You seemed to be trying to draw a human posture on a pony, which just makes it look awkward as hell. He hoof placement is weird, her legs look weird, her abdomen looks almost human, and for her to be standing like that she would have to have her legs spread for balance. But seeing as her snatch would be on full display, I can see why you drew her in this stance.

Main thing wrong, you tried to draw a pony in a human stance, with almost human anatomy. Ponies are meant to be standing on all four legs. They would not be able to stand on their hind legs for extended periods of time due to leg structure and lack of a developed balance mechanism in the brain. They are meant for four leg travel, anything else just looks awkward. Anthro is justifiable, depending on how far you go with it.
